Highlighting values based on name and date

I'm working with a rostering system built in Excel. I need my roster to identify if a worker is in the standby list if they are alreay rostered to work.

As an example, if Robert Smith is working on Monday, I want a formula that will highlight every other cell in the 'Monday' column with his name in it. I need this formula to act upon the 'Monday' column of several pages in this workbook.

I'm aware this question is probably not detailed enough or very technically described. My apologies!

    Cheers,

    Alex

Re: Highlighting values based on name and date

    Hi Sixthsense,

I've uploaded a sample workbook for you to have a look at. Any names highlighted in blue are on our standby list.

Workers may not commence a shift within 10 hours of completing the previous shift. Looking at D24, Emri is working the morning shift. He's on the standby list in D53. I want to find a way to automatically highlight workers in the standby list who are already rostered to work that day.

    Does that make sense? :/
