Hi,
When updating from Excel 2007 to 2010 the solver don't work as wanted. Were it has worked in 2007 I now get an error message saying the problem is too large. Do anyone know why? ...and can I solve this issue in some way?
Thanks,
Martin

From Solver.com
As far as I know you got 3 Solver models in Excel2010, the LP (linear), the GRG Nonlinear and the Evolutionary method so have you tested them all and with the same result? All Solving methods are limited to 200 decision variables; the GRG Nonlinear and Evolutionary Solving methods are also limited to 100 constraints in addition to lower and upper bounds on the variables.
If the model still works in Excel 2007 it is possible to keep the "old" 2007 Excel when upgrading to Excel 2010. You must choose "Customize" when you upgrade and then select what previous office components you wish to keep.

Hi Alf,
Thanks for your reply. Non of the 3 solver options work...
Keeping excel 2007 might be a solution but unfortunatley my companys IT department don't allow standalone solutions so I'm stuck with a standard update to Excel 2010...
all the best,
Martin
Perhaps you could try to contact the builders of Solver? Normally they are not that helpful as they have sold the model to Microsoft and consider this a Microsoft problem but one never knows.

Is it possible to upload you model after stripping "sensitive" information from it?
Alf
Ok, nothing doing. Best of luck to you in solving your problem.
Thanks for feedback and rep.
