    Exclamation Grouping Dates into Months

    I know this is probably going to be a really easy answer, but my brain is fried at work... I have a table with model numbers as column A, and Row 1 contains dates, each columns contains net sales, my question is there any simple way to group all dates into months and years, i have tried using a pivot and it doesnt work correctly, any help?

    =SUMIFS(2:2,$1:$1,">="&B$9,$1:$1,"<"&C$9)
