Creating a weekend roster

Hello,

I have been browsing the forums but can't see a solution/push in the direction I need.

I have a what I thought would be a simple problem..

I need to create a weekend roster that is 1 shift (Saturday morning), but rotate it amongst 5 people.

So Staff 1 and 2 one weekend,
Staff 3 & 4 the next,
Staff 1 & 5 the next and so on...

Staff can't work 2 weekends in a row, and Staff member 1 and (say) 4 can't work together ever.

I looked at solver and got lost. And solutions or ideas?

This is a model I set up some time ago. It's not exactly what you asked for but this should give you a general idea of how to use solver for staff planning.
