Are you talking about how to extend the range reference in Sum Function. If so, try looking at Defined names.

Weird, it works on the sample, but not at my spreadsheet. :s

Yes. It has a formular in the "C" colum.
I'm pretty sure SUM(something:something) will ignore blank / cell with text, so it will return the sum of all numbers can be found in a range? (Unless in that range there are errors)
