choose the range you want to sort.

then you can sort on the filtered data on column A (acending or decending).
Notice my main language is not English.

but i won’t named (you will or you won't)?

You get better help if you add the desired result in your excel file.

I think it will be possible with VBA.

But you will only want to autofill the (filterered onces?) => in your excample 2.

As already said, please add the desired result in your file.

    Hi
In your example, when you select a filter your data is ALREADY sorted!!!!! Do you mean that data may be random and when you select a filter you want the filtered data sorted?

I don’t won’t to sort the column but i want named automatically (autofill) the empty cells with the sequence order (a003, a004, a005….a030) in the first excel in the firts post (book1.xls).
If the excel file its without filter i can easily auto fill the empty cells with sequence order by drag below the first ant second line (a001,a002).
But when I selected a value in the filter doesn’t work the above rule.

See the attached file (the yellow cells).

You get in trouble if you want to do it that way.

If you use that on the data on filter 1 you get the same result.
