    Pasting space separated values

I have some text out of note pad in the following format

    "cat" "dog" "bird" "turtle"
    "cat" "dog" "bird" "turtle"

There is several lines like this. I need to copy it out of notepad and paste it into excel where every word in quotes is in its own cell. Right now if I paste it everything goes into cell A1.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    I am using excel 2010..

Have you tried the Text Import Wizard? After pasting the values onto a sheet, press Ctrl then U.

Sorry. That should be: After pasting, CTRL then U.
(So select text from notepad, CTRL + C, select Excel, CTRL + V, now immediately press CTRL, release CTRL and then press U - this should bring up the Text Import Wizard).

(Alternative method: after pasting the method, you should notice a small tag on the bottom right most cell with "(Ctrl)" . Select this with your mouse).
