File locked for editing by wrong user.

We have all of our computers named and share files on a server. We have one particular Excel (2007) file that shows the same name 'Perry' every time anyone has it open. Every other file shows the correct name. But in this case it doesn't matter who has it open, it still shows 'Perry'. I didn't think this was something that was able to be saved to the file, I thought showing the person who had it locked for editing was a function that was independent of the file itself. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to correct this?

We've checked that too, all have the correct user
