Excel keeps asking if I want to update links...

...and whether I yes or no, it continues to ask every time I open the spreadsheet.

The strange this is, I've only ever linked to sheets in the same workbook (although I have renamed the workbook when I've made major changes to it).

How can I stop Excel from asking if I want to update links every time the spreadsheet is opened (bearing in mind that I've been working on it at home, and it will be used in work, where I don't have administrator privileges, so I can't the setup of Excel in work)?

And more importantly, how can I check the links, to make sure that they are referring to other sheets in the same workbook, and not other workbooks?

Ok, I did that and I can see what the link is referring to (it is referring to an old version of the spreadsheet, as I detected). But is there a way to find out what formula or macro is referring to the old spreadsheet version, so that I can modify it myself?

Right, I'm getting closer now. There are a table of cells on one particular sheet, all of which refer to an earlier version of the spreadsheet (including file path etc). Unfortunately I can't use "Find and Replace" to change the links to the sheets in the current workbook, because the sheet is locked (and annoyingly happens to have a different password to all the other sheets!). And when I select "Edit Links", "Change Source" is not available to me (maybe because the sheet is locked?). Am I going to need to password to unlock the sheet to use either of these two options? Whatever happens, I'd rather update the links than just turned off the link prompting. I wouldn't be happy knowing that it was relying on other files!

Problem solved! In the search results, I was looking at the sheet that the formulas were referring to, when the formulas that needed updating were in a sheet that I did have the password for. So after a quick find and replace, no more links! Thanks for your help!
