Re: how can i create piper and stiff diagrams in excel sheet?

After a quick Wikipedia search to familiarize myself with those chart types, my first suggestion is to find a different program outside of Excel that has built in support for these -- especially the piper diagram.

I've done ternary diagrams (similar to, but also simpler than, a piper diagram) in Excel. The first step to plotting the piper diagram will be to figure out the geometry so you will know what formulas to use to transform the standard cartesian coordinates to fit into the triangles/diamonds. Once you have the geometry figured out, you will then need to generate series to plot the axes (Excel does not have support for 60° axes) and any gridlines you want, then a series for each of the data series/points you want to plot.

The stiff diagram will probably be easier, because it is at least using a 90° axis. Format the axes as desired. Then plot a data series with the desired values to draw the appropriate polygon.

Either one of these can be created in Excel, but they are going to be "built from scratch." Excel is not going to inherently know how to make these.

As I am unfamiliar with the details of either plot type, I cannot give you a tutorial right up front. If you decide to tackle this in Excel, I'm sure we can help with specific questions when you get stuck (I'm assuming at this point that you are familiar with Excel's charting functionality -- if this is your first time building a chart in Excel, these are probably not good charts to learn on).
