I have Windows XP and Office 2010. I am able to save my Excel data files to the hard drive. However,
I cannot save the Excel data files to a CD. I have tried everything as per Microsoft, but it does not work.
Is this normal?
Any suggestions on how to save to a CD?
Do I need special software? If so what would you recommend ?

If you are SAVING the Excel file to the CD while working in Excel, don't do it. If you are successful, you run a real risk of corrupting the file. Save the file to the hard drive and close the file then copy it to the CD using your CD burning software.
