Is it possible to filter a slicer like one would filter a column?

I have both Excel 2010 and 2013 on Windows 7.

Let's say I have a slicer on a field "Vendor Name". The field has maybe 3,000 unique values. I want to see all vendors who sell water. I am trying to filter the available slicer values to show only vendors whose name contains "Water".

Is there a way to filter my slicer to show me only vendor names containing the word "Water", rather than having to hunt and peck through my list of 3,000 vendors manually?

(I am handy with VBA so if I need to move this post over to the VBA forums for an advanced solution, I'll gladly do so.)

    Thanks!

I would go with VBA. Assuming the Names are in column A and "Water" is in column B I would use.
