    Arrow Creating a template

    Hi

    I would like to know how to create a template,that I can using again, again, just edit some text when applicable.

    1) Set up the base sheet with your default values and formulas, but not filled out specifically.
    2) Save the workbook and select the file type Excel Template. It will save it as an .xlt file, probably in the same folder as your builtin templates.

    3) Select NEW from the File menu, and you will have the option of selecting one of your templates, including the one you created.

    or

    3) Create a handy shortcut on your computer to the .xlt file, double clicking the shortcut will open a COPY of the original template.
