    Hi,

    I am using Office 2013 with Windows 8 Pro right now...
    I using the same formula from Excel 2010 Windows 7 it is working but in my current Office 2013 Windows 8 unfortunately the formula is not working in some cells. I am wondering why, can you help me to fix this?

    Kindly see below the sample:

    12/06/2013 18:09 12/06/2013 19:22 SAUDI ARABIAN AIRLINES 1:13:00
    12/06/2013 21:27 13/06/2013 00:30 SAUDI ARABIAN AIRLINES #VALUE!
    12/06/2013 23:14 13/06/2013 00:36 SINGAPORE AIRLINES #VALUE!

    mystery formula! but i suspect its to do with date and regional options
    13/06/2013 maybe being seen as 13th month 6th day

    Re: Excel 2013 not Working on Windows 8 (Date & Time)

    Hi,

    Subtracting Times That Span Past Midnight Into a New Day.
    Let's say A1 houses the Start time of 6:00PM and A2 the end time of 2:00AM. If we need to work out the hours between 6:00PM of 1 day and 2:00AM of the next day we cannot simply use;
    =A2-A1

    Excel does not like negative times.

    Instead, we should use:

    Please Login or Register to view this content.
    This will then add 1 (1 day) to A2 if the time in A1 is of a higher value than the time in A2. The expression (A1>A2) will equate to either TRUE or FALSE. TRUE has a value of 1 and FALSE a value of zero.

    Hope it help,

    Re: Excel 2013 not Working on Windows 8 (Date & Time)

    Hi,

    I tried my formula in all Windows 8 OS here in my co-workers unfortunately it gives me the same result. It doesn't work in some cells it gives me #VALUE.
    Wherein Windows 7 OS and Mac the formula is working and gives me result.

    Just like this
    11/06/2013 23:55 12/06/2013 00:50 NASAIR 0:55:00

    I've checked all the Settings with the Office 2010/Win7 it is the same. But still it gives me error value.

    Re: Excel 2013 not Working on Windows 8 (Date & Time)

    Hi Sir,

    simple formula I've tired and test.

    =A2-B2

    Please note that it is working in Windows 7 but it is not working in Windows 8.

    Is it that I am using Trial Version of Office Pro Plus 2013?

    Re: Excel 2013 not Working on Windows 8 (Date & Time)

    This is the full formula I am using.

    =IF(R2="",Q2,IF(Q2>=R2,Q2,R2))-IF(O2="",N2,IF(N2<=O2,N2,O2))

    03/06/2013 23:39 03/06/2013 23:42 04/06/2013 00:47 04/06/2013 00:48 1:06:00
    04/06/2013 01:18 04/06/2013 01:19 04/06/2013 04:18 04/06/2013 04:19 3:00:00

    In here I am using Windows 7 with Office 2010 but in Windows 8 with Office 2013 the formula is not working it gives me error.
