Auto entering data from sheet 2 into sheet 1 of the same workbook

I'm looking for a formula that will paste an entire row from sheet 2 into sheet 1 of the same workbook when only 1 cell is typed.

I am trying to come up with a property access log for my guards so when they enter a tag number from(sheet 2 column B) into (sheet1 column D) , it will auto fill sheet1 column C and E with the entries from sheet 2 column A and C.

    Thanks

You can try using vlookup or sumif function. Upload an example sheet may be a better solution could be found.

    Cheers

See attached - Index Match formula to autofil based on id tag entered.

Also changed the formula in Column A sheet 1 to refer to the id column not the name.

    Help at all?

    thanks for your help

the example works great however, everytime I add entries to sheet 2 and then call them up on sheet 1 I keep getting N/A .

    Any thoughts?

See second upload (accidentally uploaded once before saving and couldn't work out how to remove it!)- i changed the range references to include the whole column not just a specified range - should work for you now?

That worked great now, if you dont mind, I need help doing one more task.
How do I get the "name" and "company" to auto fill when a tag is entered in the "Out" column? (column E)without changing the effects of the "in" column. What I need is the Name and Company to autofill whenever a tag is entered into the "in" or "out" column.

    Here is the revised wookbook
