Search and Replace not working

Hi All

I have a spread sheet that I am trying to edit that someone has made previously. There is a formula in nearly every Worksheet (about 7) on about 10000 cells where some one has used for example:

Please Login or Register  to view this content.

So I want to replace all "~" with "" but the seach and replace doesn't match it, even if I copy and paste the character from one of the formulas. Ive even tried changing the "=" to a "#" then editing it but its having none of it.

Any one got any ideas?

tilde is a special character, used for identifying other special characters ... that is, wild cards like * and ? ... and tilde itself.

Try using tilde tilde ... "~~" without the quotes.
