Conditional formatting for not equal to situation

I want to use conditional formatting..such as if in my column c any cell is not "approved"_(this text is not there in any cell of column c).

Then that entire row should become yellow

kindly help in formula based condtional formatting..but not getting correct formula or condition to put..

    1. Select the cells you want formatting.
    2. Make a note of the top left cell address.......... e.g. C15 in this example
    3. Select Conditional Formatting.
    4. Select "Use a formula"
    5. In the formula bar enter =$C15=""
    6. Set the format
    7. Select OK

Note the $ sign is critical in making the whole row dependant on the value in C15
    Elegant Simplicity............. Not Always
