Find and Replace command not working on a certain set of cells

Hello,

I have an excel sheet that contains a grid of 100 cells (10 X 10). Each cell is filled by numeric 1. Each cell is either filled by yellow, green, blue, orange, brown or grey color. I want to replace the number 1 in cells filled by yellow with 2so I selected the whole grid and pressed Ctrl+F. Switched to replace tab. In "Find what", I clicked on Format dropdown and selected the "Choose formal from cell" option and then selected a yellow cell. In replace, I wrote 2 and then I hot the "Replace All" button. After that an error popped up that said, Excel could not find anything to replace. FYI, it is possible the data you are tyring to replace is in a protected sheet.

Requesting you to please provide a solution to overcome this problem.

If your format is applied with Conditional Formatting... Find & Replace won't be able to find it.

There's also chance color is slightly different from default color pallet. In this case, you can find RGB value or HEX value and match that in Custom tab of colors.
