Optimizer saying: "All variables need upper, lower, bounds", even though, they do

    Hi,

I am running the solver/optimizer add-in, using evolutionary algorithm.

    Here is the configuration:conf.jpg

With clear upper, lower bounds, on the cells $AJ$4, $AJ$5, as far as I can say.

    Here is the "message":re.GIF

    Why?

    Thanks!

    C

No knowing what you're trying to do, maybe select a different engine in Solver options, like GRG Nonlinear.

I can't tell from the jpeg, but the upper bound for AJ5 looks odd.

So replace 10-0.0001 with 9.9999. The constraints are numbers, not expressions.

Re: Optimizer saying: "All variables need upper, lower, bounds", even though, they do

I have the exact same problem. All of my constraints are numbers, not expressions.
