how do i prevent the first column in my excel file from being sorted?

In my excel files, I have several columns:

"No." "First Name" "Last Name" "Quantity" "Price" "Total"

All the columns are sortable, which is expected - however, I would like for the first column to be "unsortable", meaning - suppose I sort the list by last name, I still want the numbers in the first column remain the same. I'm hoping this makes sense.

Basically, I don't want the "No." column to be sorted (I want the numbers in the column to remain the same no matter how the other columns are sorted), but all the other columns I'd like to be able to sort. Is this possible?

    Thanks in advance.

I would not select the column, which i don't want to be sorted

If it's number like 1,2,3....type the below formula in the no. column. It will remain same what ever other columns you sort.

that works for starting number 1 at row 7, but the order of number still gets rearranged when i sort by last name. ideas?
