The use of conditional formatting to identify bad data

I am working with a set of analyzed values in one tab that have a numerical index ranking in a separate tab. Based on whether the numerical index ranking for the analyzed data is above or below a critical limit, I need to set up some conditional formatting that tells me if the analyzed value is valid (again, based on the numerical index ranking in the other tab). For example, if the numerical index ranking for the analyzed value is above a certain limit, then the analyzed value is automatically formatted in some color or font that readily identifies the value as "bad". I am pretty sure conditional formatting can help me, but I am not sure where to start. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Re: The use of conditional formatting to identify bad data

Hi and welcome to the forum

Yes, it sounds like CF is what you want to use, but without seeing any data/sample of what you are working with, it's hard to formulate a suggestion

Can you upload a (clean) sample of your data, along with some examples of your expected outcome please?
To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
