This forum has gotten me out of a jam on more than one occasion, so I'm optimistic that I can find the inspiration I'm looking for here. I am creating a workbook for the owner of a bar and I'm trying to figure out the least cluttered, most user-friendly layout for going about it as possible. This person is not a real tech savvy type. My need is simple but my obstacle is keeping a clean and visually minimal format for entering the data. I've scoured hundreds of templates but can't find just the right one.

What I need:

- Data will be entered twice a day (AM and PM shifts)
- There will be 3-5 different types of revenue to enter (cash sales, lottery sales, card sales etc)
- There will be a couple different deductions to enter (lottery payouts, tipping out bartenders and employees)
- And a positive or negative till figure as well

For example:

9/16/13 AM

+ 457 cash
+ 263 card
+ 80 lotto
----------
- (15) lotto
- (65) tips
----------
- (5.50) till short

And then similar entries for the night shift. Obvious the totals for shift and day functionality and an overview worksheet for viewing trends. Like if you wanted to look at Mondays versus other days or look at all your lotto sales to see where they were lowest or highest etc But I can create all that, I just need a way of entering everything so the user doesn't have to see 60 rows each month.

Extra points if there is a good way to track bottle inventory and/or employee hours/scheduling as well.

Any ideas or templates anyone is aware of that might be along these lines?

Many thanks in advance.

Mike
