Looking for any Introductory training guides to use in holding a basic course

    Good afternoon all,

I have been asked by my work to run some colleagues through a basic "get to know Excel" course.

I am not talking vba programming at any level, this is more the general basics. Items such as:

    - navigation short cut keys
    - right click menu .... functions available
    - Cell handles and what they can do
    - working with data .. basics ... like naming ranges etc
    - basic formulas like "If" statements, Counts, Sums etc.
    - Filtering / Sorting
    - conditional formatting
    - Find / Replace
    - using the chart wizard
    - pivot tables

This group processes data in their day to day roles, however only a select few have Excel skills to make it more efficient for themselves. The aim is to raise the base level enough to enable them to be more productive in their own day to day work.

Any links to existing training material aimed at this type of level would be greatly appreciated. I am happy taking them thorugh it, would just prefer to not re-invent the wheel if something already exists

    Thanks in advance

    Darren

    Hi Grimace,

Here's a file I created for Basic Excel training.

It's aimed at beginners & shows how to use the most used features on the Top Tabs, Home, Insert, Page Layout etc etc ...

Thanks for that ... .this a good resource.

I am looking more for something like a basic help text that explains the functions, and we will use something similar to what you have here as practical examples. I thinki i have seen training guides in the past, but was unable to find them in a web search.

    Appreciate the help
