    'Lock' conditional formatting

    Hi.
Not sure if this is possible but if someone can tell me it's not it will save me time trying to find out.
I want to use conditional formatting to apply colours to my data, then 'fix' it so that the colours remain but are no longer conditional.

I have a large table of data - results from a staff survey.
Each row represents a question and each column represents a team, with the team scores for each question filling in the table.

I have used conditional formatting to identify quartiles for each question i.e. comparing data along the row
I now want to copy out each column to create a report for each team, showing which questions they were in the top quartile or bottom quartile, etc. But as the conditional formatting copies to the new cells it shows all of them as top quartile as there is no other data to compare to in the new location.
I want to keep the formatting from the main table by stopping it from being conditional when I copy it. Is this possible?
I have 83 questions and 51 teams so I don't want to have to sort and format it manually if I can help it.

    Cheers

In the interest of getting the job done the quickest way I could find was to paste the formatted cells in to Word, then copy & paste them back to Excel. It might not be the best way, but it works.

Did you try to use Paste Special>Onlyvalues?

Did you consider using the copy as photo function? This will take a snap shot of data you highlight. Go to the arrow under paste icon click and copy as picture then paste it to another sheet. Check it out to see if it will work for you.
