Hello.
I am not even sure if what I want is possible but there seems to be a lot of clever people on here so thought I would give it a go.
Attached is my spread sheet. I am trying to create columns that would show quarterly costs for each line of the sheet. However, the dates are different on every line. Eg, line 12 dates are 04/05/2013 - 04/05/2014. I would need to show the quarterly costs for 2013 and also for 2014. Also, I think I need to factor in whether it would be a global or local cost (column K), whether it would be film or advertising (column J) and the location (column A). My aim is to finally be able to create a pivot table on a seperate sheet that would easily show quarterly and yearly costs for, say, LON, advetising, globally for quarter 1. I suppose what I need to do on this spread sheet is break down the costs between the start and end date (only the euros cost is necessary) and group it quarterly and maybe another column to show yearly. Once this is done I could sort the pivot table out no problem. So, can you work out the costs between a set of two dates and then make then quarterly and yearly?
sorry if that does not make sense. I am really poor at this.
Many thanks.
