Windows 7 Excel 2007 How to open file from email in new instance??

Our office just switched over to Windows 2007, I know we are behind the times but thats what I have to work with. I am using Excel 2007. Someone must have found a solution to this already, I just haven't been able to find it.

I have dual monitors. I have an excel file open and I want to open another file from an email, without saving it first. I open a new instance of excel and want the new file to open to the new instance of excel. It always opens to the instance I original instance and not to the new instance so I can't view them separately. I tried the option ignore other applications that use DDE but that doesn't work consistently for me, sometimes I can't open a file at all. I don't have rights to edit my registry. Surely there is a setting somewhere that will resolve this for me. If anyone knows the solution to this please let me know. Thanks for your help!!

Open the file from the email then hold down the shift key and click on the Excel Icon to open a second instance of Excel and open the local file that you want. You will now have both files open in separate instances. Unfortunately you can't do this starting with your local file.

Unfortunately that defeats the purpose. Thanks for the reply though.
