How do I "Insert Copied Cells" multiple times

Hi All. I have spent some time looking around both here and elsewhere and it still has me stumped. I need to be able to select certain rows and insert them multiple times in a worksheet. I'm amazed that so far, Excel seems to limit me to doing this only once and then requiring me to go back and re-copy the cells that I want to insert.

Surprised also that I can't do it just with the keyboard. I'm using Excel 2010(PC)and also 2011 (Mac).

    Has anyone figured this out?

    Thanks.

    Houston.

Hi and welcome to the forum

If you copy (CTRL C) and then use paste (CRTL V), you can do CTRL V as many times as you want, until you type something else or use the enter key (or another command)
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Re: How do I "Insert Copied Cells" multiple times

Hi. Thanks. This would work if I weren't trying to insert the copied cells. But I'm trying to insert the same copied cells in various places on the sheet and choosing the "shift cells down" option after inserting. So I'm not overwriting any data. It seems to limit me to doing this just once and then it leaves the clipboard and forces me to re-select and copy the data that I'm trying to insert. Excel is so well thought out that I'm surprised I can't just re-insert the same content in multiple places without having to reselect the copied cells. The workflow would be a lot faster if I could find a way to do this. I could basically insert copied cels, arrow down x times, insert copied cells, repeat.

Re: How do I "Insert Copied Cells" multiple times

What I did was I created 2 macros: one to keep grabbing the cells that I needed to copy to the clipboard from another sheet, and another to insert the copied cells, so it's almost like it does have this functionality, but you need a macro. So now I can keystrokes-G,Keystrokes-I to insert the copied cells, and I can arrow down to the next insertion point and repeat. Thanks.
