Way to make this spreadsheet easy to update?

    Hi,

I have a spreadsheet which has our branch indicators on it. However, adding a new branch becomes a bit of a pain as it will involve adding a new branch line which then shifts everything downwards. This ruins the links other spreadsheets looking to this file pull through. And also the formula's take forever to to update having to manual update as they would look to each branches seperate tab to locate the data.

I feel like im having a brain fart as i cant think of an easy way to completely re-jig the file so it will be easily updatable in the future.

Attached is an example, i have simplified but have not got formulas where xyz and also the seprerate tabs for each branch looks at.EXAMPLE.xls

    any help would be appreciated

I get the feeling that there are things missing in your description. First, looking at your file, it looks very straightforward although I don't understand why there are two blocks of data that appear identical (rows 2-24, and 27-49).

Inserting a row for a new branch should not be causing problems. If it does then it means that the formulas using the data are hard-coded to specific rows but instead should be doing a VLOOKUP or MATCH on desired branch name. Just as important as this file is what is the format of the files that reference it?

    Second,

There is only one worksheet with data in your example file--what are these separate tabs for each branch that you are talking about?
