    Combining data

    Hi folks,

I have a question. In the attached file, I have two symmetrical matrices. The idea is to combine Matrix 2 into Matrix 1. I suspect there is an index formula I should use. Any ideas what could that be?

    Much obliged!!

I am no expert but is it just the matrix 2 data you need?

I need Matrix 1 with the data of Matrix 2. Matrix 1 includes the same variables of Matrix 2. I hope I explained it correctly.

    Re: Combining data

I dont have an easy answer for you, but due to the "small" amount of data in matrix 2 the quickest way i know is as follows, would take about 5 mins to do this manual this way, although maybe not the most efficient way: Like this for example:

    Capture.jpg

Does this make sense and help at all?

If you have more data, this will not be a good way of doing it.

Thanks for the reply. The problem is the real Matrix 1 has about 5,000 variables and Matrix 2 has about 500. Matrix 1 includes matrix 2.
