Change cell color based on a list of dates

    Hi,

This is my first post here in this forum.
I am having an excel sheet where I enter the delivery dates.
There are few freezes and restricted dates.
When I am entering the delivery date which falls under the freeze or restricted date, the colour of that cell should change.
Can some one help me achieve this either using some macro.

    Thanks,
    Tej

On the surface it sounds easy enough to do using conditional formatting, have you tried it using conditional formatting?
Posting a sample might be helpful so someone can write the formula for it.

    Welcome to the Forum!

This can be done with Conditional Formatting (a macro should not be needed).

For best results, attach your file. To give the best answer we would need to see how your data is organized. It would also help to show what you want the result to look like.

    To post a file:
    1. Under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button.
    2. In the next screen look above the reply box and click the "paper clip" icon. You will get a pop-up screen.
    3. In the pop-up, click Add then Select to select a file from your local drive
    4. Click the Upload button to upload the file
    5. Click Done to attach it.

It will be displayed as an attachment underneath your post text. Alternatively as the last step you can click the Insert Inline button and a hyperlink to the file will be inserted directly into your post text in the spot where your cursor is set at the moment you click the button.

Thanks for your replies, I sorted that using conditional format.
