Hi
I can't work out why my indirect drop down list isn't working. I have named ranges and it works for the first couple but not for the rest.
Tab called 'Work record' is where the drop down lists are. 'Work Type' drop down works fine. Description only works when I select 'Doors' under 'Work type'.
I appreciate any advice/help. Thanks in advance.
you have different names involved.
sample:
your named range interior_wall -> notice the underscore?
now in the list you have interior walls -> which your indirect points to it.
=INDIRECT(D3) -> =indirect(interior walls ) ->>>>****without the underscore...
so the solution is to have same name for name range and the validation list
bot should have underscore or maybe just "interior" ,"exterior"
