Import Excel Calender into outlook calender appointments

    Hi-

Please see attached. I am not sure if my dates are in correct format, but I would like the calendar to import into my outlooks calendar appointments when there is a "Y" for the date. So, any time there is a Y, I want the appointment to include which name in line 2 has a Y. Example" 1/31/14 should just return Philippines.

Hi cartica, I am not totally sure how you want to run the macro. I have made an example workbook, where you in A1 choose which region to add appointments to outlook. Please see attached.

so, I would need to change cell a 1 for each country to then upload all the dates where there is a Y for a holiday?

As I said, I may not have fully understood what you where looking for. It's easy to make a loop for all the regions/categories, but what do you want in your subject and location field for each appointment exactly?

Subject I would like the name of holiday in column C, and location field would be which region in line 2. is it possible to add Closed at the end?
Example with multiple holidays. 4/17/14. I would like to see in outlook calendar:

Thank you so much for your help. A few questions. 1. How would you change the code if you wanted an alert to pop up a day before the event happening? Also, any chance you can explain the macro by line? Just so I know for next time.

Re: Import Excel Calender into outlook calender appointments

I know that with a meeting request you can set a ReminderTime, I am not too sure about with an appointment. Perhaps somebody else here knows?

I am rather busy at the moment in order to explain the code line by line, but what it simply does is loop through the datarange D3:S195 (i.e. rngRegions) row by row, adding together in a string the region names for each Y's that exist. If a string exists, len or the character count is more than 0, then it adds that date into the Calendar with the date in Column A as defined by rngDte.

    Hope that helps
