Conditional Formatting- date with red, yellow or green

I need help with a conditional formatting with dates.
If the cell dates is past now(), then I need to show red,
If the cell is past now but within the next 6 months from now(), then I need to show yellow.
If the cell date is more than 6 months from now then it can show green.

Thanks, LaDonna

1st, please check your rules. if you have "past now", then that already covers both of the next 2 rules

Assuming your date is in A1 (adjust as needed)

1. highlight the range you want to apply the conditional formatting to
2. on the home tab, styles, select CF
3. select new rule, select use formula
4. enter =$A1>today()......format fill red

Reprat 3 and 4 with this...
=AND($A1>today(),$A1<edate(today(),6))......format fill yellow
and
=$A1>edate(today(),6))......format fill green
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
