I have just made my excel application that allows the user to type in the data in certain cells in a table (I protect some of the cells that contain formulas).
As the user type in more data in new rows, is there a way I can automatically format the new data as well as automatically fill the formulas for the new rows?

Select the range of data, and go to Insert -> Table.
This will convert the range to a table, which will automatically continue formulas and formats as new rows are added.
As an added benefit, formulas that target the table will automatically adapt to the ranges. So if the table is rows 1-10, and you add 10 more lines at the bottom, a formula that used to =SUM(A1:A10) will automatically adjust to =SUM(A1:A20)
