How to work out percentage of projects delivered on time

Hi everyone

New to the forum (so please go easy on me.)

I have been set a goal at work for 2014. I have been asked to deliver X % (say 80% for example) of the projects assigned to my team on time throughout 2014.

Let's say for example I have 5 projects, each with a a column identifying the "due date." I then have another column showing the "actual completion date" they were completed. I need to figure out what % of these projects were delivered on time (and track the % throughout the year as projects are added , and completed throughout.) Maybe there is also a way to alert or show me at a glance if I am below the 80% threshold for example?

This may well be something very simple for the experts here in this forum :-)
