    Will I lose all my information? I am using excel 2008. Really bummed out. Spent countless months on this spread sheet.

    Sorry for your loss. Do you not have any back-ups of the file? If so, do any of them open OK? To be honest, if you have put all your eggs into one basket, then you may have to start again. When working on important projects, whatever the software, I keep incremental copies of my work and back them up regularly.

    I have time machine but dont have any backups of the finished spreadsheet
