Need to strip data from one cell and place the contents into a different cell

    hey,

first time poster long time lurker... I have an issue I can't seem to solve. I have an output in cell A1 that goes like this: GARCIA YASMINA (017015)
What I need is a formula to remove (017015) and place it with out the parentheses in cell B1. So the output would be GARCIA YASMINA in cell A1 and 017015 in cell B1.

    Thanks so much guys!!!

Perhaps the most straightforward way is in B1

    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

    and then in C1
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

Then if necessary copy C1 and paste it back as a value to A1
