Using A Tables Row To Populate Another Sheets Columns By Value

    Capture.JPG

I have attached a picture of the Table i have (Similar anyways - Data Removed)

I have a dropdown box on another sheet that lists all the available items from the Table.

For Example - Item 1 is selected in the dropdown box...

I am then trying to produce a column listing all the Table Headers that each Item has.

So Item 1 would then produce a column with:

    1.3
    3.1

I can then do a lookup from these and complete my page.

I've never really dealt with tables before - so this is a new fresh first.

    Craig.

    Picture:

Hi and welcome to the forum

Please do not upload a picture of your file...rather, upload a sample of your workbook, showing what data you are working with, a few samples of your expected outcome (manually entered is ok) and how you arrived at that. (Exclude sensitive info). Pictures are pretty much impossible to edit, and no-one wants to re-type your data for you. Also, not all members can upload picture files (Company firewalls, etc.)

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.

The attached example is not formatted as a table - i forgot to set it before attaching.

My original has a table inserted with a whole host of formulas....

If you want us to help you with a Table, it would make sense to upload a workbook that is as similar to the real thing as it can be ... with a Table.

I have been looking at http://www.cpearson.com/excel/TablesAndLookups.aspx
and have been trying to apply some of his knowledge - but i am still unable to achieve my result.

I will continue to play with this and hopefully come up with something.
