Smile Looking for Tips/Tricks from TasBooks users for extracting data into Excel

    Hi there,

I'm a Forum Newbie (ignore the date - I forgot I joined pre-kids/baby brain!). I don't have a specific question just yet, but wondered if any of you had experience with TasBooks? I ask because I've recently started a new accounts job and they use TasBooks (V4.0 I think). I want to start using the data in Excel and would love to hear from anyone who has mastered the art of extracting the data! So far I've discovered I can run reports in Tas and save the data as a csv file - or I can view reports on screen and copy and paste into Excel. What I really want to do is access the raw data directly from Excel without the need for running reports within Tas. Anyway, I'm sure I'll be back when I have a more specific Excel question - my current Pivot table is causing me issues so will probably be sooner rather than later!

Looking forward to becoming a more active member of the group!

    Bobbie

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.
