SUBSTITUTE parantheses and anything in between them

I'm having trouble finding a way to use SUBSTITUTE to delete the parantheses and everything in between them in a string such as this

    2-6 6-3 7-6(10) or 6-3 7-6(3)

I came up with =SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(A2,"-",""),"(*)",""), but it's not working..

Is it always at the end?

Nope, it can be anywhere, it's a tennis scoreline, the tie-break can occur in any set.

    Thanks for your reply
