Page Numbering in Page Titles

Hi there,

I have produced a spreadsheet that is spread on several pages (In One worksheet).

I have used repeat rows in page titles to reproduce the title block at the top of each page.

I have used this method to inkeep with company standards.

My problem is that the page number is within this (in a cell) and when printing follow on pages i can't change the page number.

This has bugged me for days and I cannot find a solution, does anyone know if this can be done.

Would really appreciate anyones help.

It isn't clear to me what the problem is. You say you have created page titles for the worksheets using repeat rows. Can you explain this is more detail? Are you not using the printable headers on the worksheets? Have you tried setting page breaks instead?

Also, can you clarify what you mean here...

Hi there

I am not using the standard excel header as it will not produce similar to my companys calculation sheets (?)

I have set up the first 12 rows of the document to reproduce the title block, have attached this so you can see.

I would like to reproduce this on all pages with the sheet no changing to correspond with page.

make sure j5 is blank before starting
run from tools macro/macros
or assign to button

I don't think it's possible, especially since you are repeating rows and whatever is on the first page will repeat verbatum. I'm sure there's a way to use a macro to insert a page number into a cell but it wouldn't work in your case because you are repeating the same cells on each page. You could use the actual Excel Header in such a way that it overlaps that cell and put the page number into the header but you won't see it until you print it. (See attachment)

I stand corrected. Nice one, Martin. Although it leaves the final page number in the cell when completed, it works great.
