I want to use a dde link like
=BIDS|COTC!'vale5,last'
where BIDS is the application that gets the last quote of the share "vale5" .
I want to have the share "vale5" to be obtained from another cell A1.
If I use
=BIDS|COTC!'A!,last'
it does not work.
I tried INDIRECT() . It also did not work.
Any help will be really appreciated.

Hi jgrfilho,
If this is meant to be an Excel Function, you can't use 'BIDS' or any application as a Function name unless you create a User Defined Function called 'BIDS'.
It might help if you explain what you're trying to do with what applications.
