Exclamation Is There a Way to Prevent Shared Workbook Users from Freezing Frames?

Hello. I have a shared workbook that is being used by multiple folks, and one user will freeze frames and completely confuse or event prevent another user using the workbook from seeing the fields they need to enter data into properly.

Is there a way to protect the workbook to allow all functionality EXCEPT for freezing frames? This issue has happened three times in the past few days so I am looking for a permanent solution....

Without knowing more about your workbook, it's difficult to say. This method may be tedious, but you'll only have to do it once per worksheet:

On each sheet, select all cells (click the corner icon for simplicity). Right-click, Format Cells, go to the Protection tab and uncheck "Locked" then hit OK.

Go to the Review tab up top, click Protect Sheet. You can add a password if desired. No changes need to be made to the checkboxes. Hit OK.

What we've done here is said that all cells are unlocked (allowing users to edit them freely, as normal), but because the sheet is protected, Freeze Panes is disabled.

I have not tested this thoroughly, so it's possible it may disable other important features, but so far this seems to fit the bill.

There are other methods involving the use of VBA, but all users would have to enable macros for it to work.
