    Post Less than a specific cell by a specific amount

    Hi,

    I'm having troubles setting this up.

    Ideally I would like my conditional formatting to automatically highlight 1 row a certain colour if the date on that row is 7 days old or more.

    For example in the case below I would like the line to be a specific colour so it quickly identifies it self but I can not manage to do this:

    Current date: 14/1/15 (=Today())

    Date Name Comment Follow up date
    1/1/15 J. Smith Callback 1 week

    is there anyway to make the above work so that if the Date section is 7 days or more old as shown by the current date section that it lights up?

    Look forward to hearing your responses!

    You can define a conditional formatting rule using a formula (It's the last option when you click New Rule...). Suppose A1 contains the date. Enter the following as your formula.

    =$A1<=(TODAY()-7)

    Then customize the format.

    Good luck!
