Data sorting - what would work best here?

Hello all

I'm new here, signed up today. I came across this forum, probably similar reasons to many of you, because I decided I need to tighten up on my excel skills.

Anyway, without further ado... I have attached a screenshot for example purposes.

I would like to separate or chop the 'buy' and 'sell' data so they stand independently. My question is what is the best formula to use to do this?

I'm not expecting examples, just the name of the formula so I can then read up and learn it.

NOTE: you can ignore the buy and sell in black text on the far right; this was merely an attempt at something and I should have deleted before attaching.

You can use some array formulas if you want
I am sending you just an example.... for getting a deeper understanding you can just click on any formula and click on formulas tab then evaluate formula so that you can study it properly...

Here in the "desired result" sheet you can enter any value in cell A1 it will look for that value in column B of the data sheet and will give you the respective values....
So instead of number you can change the criteria to Buy and sell
Ask for any further queries..

Thanks, I've had a look but I'm still wondering how I can use your spreadsheet/formula to achieve the outcome I'm looking for?

To reiterate, I would like to separate the 'buy' and 'sell' rows, keeping all row data intact, so I can independently work on each category.
