Hi All,
I've tried search for a solution to this but to no avail.
I want to create a "cost price list of goods" workbook (as per sample attached) so when I update the cost price it will be reflected in the "retail price list" workbook.
Basically, I'll have two separate workbooks linked.
I envisage approx 200 products per worksheet (approx 4 worksheets)
I am using excel 2013
The retail price list will be the exact same except the supplier and revision date are not to be disclosed.
I don't want the cost price of the goods to be disclosed in the in retail price list either.
I want to link this cost price list to a retail price list for salespersons and customers but I am having the following problems.
1. If I copy and paste link of all cells in a worksheet from the cost list to the retail list, I get an error message - Excel cannot complete this task with available resources. Choose less data or close other applications.
I think I have a fairly small range of data and the computer is new and has lots of ram.
2. If I got the copy and paste link to work I was going to multiply the cost price by a % margin in each of the retail price cells.
This is probably a clumsy way of calculating the retail price but I cant think of any other way of doing it. Has anyone any suggestions?
3. If I want to add a row to a category in one of the cost price worksheets, is there any way I can get that row to be automatically added to the corresponding retail price worksheet.
I know this is basic stuff and I was capable of this couple of years ago.
It is melting my head.
I think I have been thinking about it too much.
Any advice would be appreciated
Jaca
