Printing Entire workbook as PDF but have so many blank pages. Help?

    Hello everyone.

I am a newbie to excel and need some help. I have a spreadsheet with multiple worksheets. In order to print it out together I used the "Print entire workbook" option which allows me to do that. However after the first worksheet, I get so many blank pages. I've been trying to fix this problems by trying different methods but to no avail.

I know this may have been posted before but after searching online for solutions, I still have found anything that works.

    Could you please help?

    Thanks!

Check what will be printed by going to the <View> tab and clicking <Page Break Preview>. Scroll through each worksheet using this view and I expect you will see lots of empty rows and columns which are all being included in the print. This can happen if you accidentally place your cell marker in an empty cell and press the space bar or a character causing all blank cells betwen your data and the accidentally update cell to be included in the print.

There are two ways to address this.

    1. The "quick and dirty" way is the select the data area on each worksheet and set the Print Area. To do this, select the cells you want to print then click on <Page Layout>, <Print Area>, "Set Print Area".

    2. To properly tidy up your workbook, on each worksheet go to the last cell in the last row (in other words, the bottom right hand corner) of actual data. Delete the empty rows below that row and the empty columns to the right of that column.

    Good luck with it!

If you attach a sample of your workbook it will be easier to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace sensitive data before uploading the file. Look here if you need help with attachments:

Thank you so much! It worked a charm! Such a simple way of sorting it out and I've been sitting in the office trying so many other useless ways.

    Thanks again!

Another question. Is there any way of numbering the pages of multiple workbooks? I have used the header and footer option but it numbers the pages of each worksheet at a time and the numbers do not continue on to the next sheet. Any way of solving this or would I have to number it manually?
