I have a workbook with 8 sheets,every sheet has more than 1 pages.While printing wntire workbook i want page numbers as 1 of 1,2 of 1, 3 of 1,1 of 2, 2 of 2, 3 of 2, 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3.................
is it possible to do this without a macro?
Yes, it's not only possible without a macro, it is downright easy, once you know where the buttons are.
"Insert" Ribbon => "Text" Group => "Header & Footer" Button
In the "Header & Footer Tools" Special Ribbon
Insert this in one of the Footer fields to display the "1 of 2" etc settings:
Insert this to add the text name to that or another of the Footer fields:

So if you want to deliver just the page number, without the total number of pages, and the name of the sheet (which are numbers):Please Login or Register to view this content.

Post Attachment: Click [Go Advanced] under the reply box; then click [Manage Attachments] to launch the attachments dialogue.
