How to multiply two non-contiguous cells in each column then add them all together

    Hi

I need to multiply information in two cells in one column then add it to two multiplied cells in the next column, then repeat for every single column. So at the moment the formula looks something like: =A1*A4+B1*B4+C1*C4+D1*D4+E1*E4, and so on.

Is there a simpler way to do this?

    Thanks in advance.

How about the SUMPRODUCT() function: https://support.office.com/en-us/art...c-4d2145a2fd2e

Thanks for replying. The problem is that it can't include any of the information in rows 2 and 3, only rows 1 and 4.

Did you study the link Mr Shorty gave you?
If so it seems you still misunderstand how the SUMPRODUCT() function works.
