How do I make rows disappear

My boss would like to have the yellow colored rows basically disappear if there are no entries carried over from other tabs in the workbook, yet there is a total which sums up the numbers in the column but the number of rows changes. i felt the easiest way would be to change the format so the days (1-31) run across the sheet instead of down, but its proving a hard sale to the boss. Any help?

Re: "IF" or not to "IF"

    My apologies, is that better?

    Hi Shawn4789,

Did you try Grouping & Hiding the rows? This could be done by highlighting the unwanted rows, then go to the menu and select Data > Group. The data will still be there; however, it will not show up visually or when you print.

Re: How do I make rows disappear

Thank you but what he wants is for it to be automatic. So if someone pays rent on the first he wants it to show who paid on the 1st and how much, if no one pays on the 2nd but does on the 3rd; he wants the next row to show the information for the 3rd on the next row and not show anything about the 2nd. So he only wants the dates with activity shown, but automatically just as if he manually hide/collapsed the blank rows
